The City Hall built in 1877 is a striking example of Gothic/Renaissance style. The central part of the City Hall is considered to be a clock tower with a height of 85 meters. The tower features a carillon with 23 bells. Big Abel, the biggest one, weighs approximately 8 tons. There are offices and halls for ceremonies inside the City Hall. The entrance to the Hall is guarded by statues dedicated to the influential residents of the city.
